        Courageous commander of The Maratha Empire Yesaji Kank was born in the Kshatriya Koli caste. He was a good friend of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He was a specialist and one of the most important commanders of the guerilla warfare system. This technique of warfare was one of the most popular at the time.   Name of father: Dadoji Kank  His father, Dadoji Kank, served in the army of King Shahaji Bhosle (the father of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj). He played an important role in the battle of Pratapgad.   Yesaji Kank was so powerful that he defeated the mad and strongest elephant of Qutubshahi during the meeting of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Qutubshahi.
